Roles, levels, and layers explained

What Members, Approvers, and Admins can do, and how levels and layers affect you.

  • Member — submits contributions, runs work sessions, and sees their own scores, history, and earnings.
  • Approver — everything a member can do, plus reviewing profile and work submissions in the approvals queue.
  • Admin — everything an approver can do, plus managing members, invitations, work items, repositories, and revenue.

Separately from your role, you have a level (L1 and up). Some work items require a minimum level to pick up, higher levels unlock later stages of the confirmation queue, and your level multiplies your effective score when profit is distributed. Levels are assigned by the platform's administrators as you build a track record.

Layers are the coloured badges you see next to names in the team directory and leaderboard — they group members by how they joined and where they sit in the team's structure.
